JOB SUMMARY
The Depot Clerk will perform the daily activities required in the operation of the transit systems stations.
Position Duties
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Manages the assignment of operating and supervisory staff and resources to ensure that service objectives are achieved within budgetary constraints; conducts division shake-ups and bidding procedures
- Schedules and dispatches drivers
- Maintains records, logs and schedules of the calls received regarding driver schedules/attendance and assigning drivers routes
- Maintains database of operator DOT medical cards and CDLs
- Inspection of driver appearance prior to shift
- Prepare reports on all activities occurring during their shifts
- Direct drivers through radio contact
- Prepare daily operational reports
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels for service
- Maintain familiarity with current labor agreements and DOT regulations
- Maintain the annual assignment board
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- A high school graduate or GED, or experience and training to the equivalent
- Or A minimum of three (3) years recent experience directly related to the operations of the Transit System
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Normal office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
This is a designated Safety Sensitive Position under RTA Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy [“Non-USDOT”]. Drug and Alcohol Testing is conducted under RTA testing authority in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations.

- Ability to know and apply the labor contract and peg system to the daily operation of the station
