Job Title: FP&A Analyst/ AP Specialist (Hybrid Role)

Department: Accounting

Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Salary-Exempt, Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days remote)

Compensation: $62,000-$65,000/year

Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven individual to join our finance team in a hybrid role that combines responsibilities in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Accounts Payable (AP). This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to build a well-rounded foundation in finance and accounting, with hands-on exposure to budgeting, reporting, vendor management, and financial tools such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com.

Key Responsibilities:

FP&A Responsibilities (Approx. 50%):

  • Assist in preparing monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and financial reports 
  • Perform variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and business insights 
  • Support creation of financial dashboards and models  
  • Collaborate across departments to gather data and support operational planning 
  • Assist in preparing materials for internal and external financial presentations

Accounts Payable Responsibilities (Approx. 50%):

  • Process vendor invoices and employee reimbursements using Bill.com
  • Maintain accurate AP records and ensure timely payments in QuickBooks Online
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors 
  • Assist with month-end AP close, including accruals and reporting 
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policy for procurement and disbursements


Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Required: 2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related analytical role. 
  • Preferred: One (1) year experience working in a private equity sponsored organization. 


Qualifications/Skills: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities for this position.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas) and familiarity with financial modeling. 
  • Prior experience in both FP&A and AP functions 
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Bill.com 
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to handle large datasets. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to present data and insights clearly to CFO/CEO. 
  • Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Resourceful and proactive in identifying and solving problems with a focus on continuous improvement. 
  • Basic understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and corporate finance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have a dedicated and ergonomic workspace at home conducive to focused work.
  • Access to a stable and reliable high-speed internet connection.
  • Adequate lighting and minimal background noise to support professional video calls and meetings.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 5 pounds occasionally, for tasks such as setting up a workstation or equipment.
  • The ability to work comfortably and effectively in a home environment that meets ergonomic standards, including proper seating and desk setup.
