What is the Opportunity?
RBC's US Internal Audit group is hiring for a Director, Capital Markets.
What will you do?
Director of Audit in the US IA Capital Markets team is responsible for coverage of the Cash Management business and functions supporting the capital markets businesses.
Responsible for maintaining stakeholder relationships and leading audit coverage in the respective areas
Responsible for day to day oversight of the team members to ensure timely audit planning and execution
Maintaining relationships with external auditors, business units and senior management to ensure communication of critical issues in a timely manner.
Responsible for completion of continuous risk monitoring processes and evaluation of the risk profile for the audit universe
What do you need to succeed?
Minimum 10 years in financial sector audit and/or professional audit standards
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Accountability, leadership, initiative, teamwork, change agent and impact and influence
Strong inter-personal skills including interaction/dealing with executives and senior management and ability to maintain a strong relationship with staff, peers and stakeholders
Risk management and audit expertise
Expert in-depth knowledge of regulatory guidance, IIA Standards, Practice Advisories and Practice Guides
Strong working background/experience with major business segments of RBC or comparable peer bank
Ability to develop a strong knowledge of RBC guidelines and processes and ability to access in-house subject matter experts
Strong analytical, communication, strategic and creative mindset
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Leadership by example in teamwork, cross-unit cooperation and information sharing.

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $160,000 - $250,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs. This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
