What you would do as our UK Portfolio Manager

As a UK Portfolio Manager at Traka, you will be crucial in shaping the new face of the Project Manager’s team, implementing process improvements within the department and dependent functions. Reporting to the UK Head of Engineering, Operations & Project Management, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent delivery of on-time and on-budget projects within the team. This is a remote job within the UK.5

 

You would also:

• Lead and oversee the successful delivery of customer projects across the UK portfolio, ensuring alignment with budget, timelines, and quality standards.

• Evaluate and prioritize projects based on strategic value, risk, cost, and resource availability to maximize business impact.

• Coach and support Project Managers, fostering talent development and ensuring consistent adoption of best practices.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and other teams to drive process improvements and customer satisfaction.

• Monitor project governance and financial performance, providing clear reporting and acting as a key escalation point for internal and external stakeholders.

 

The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who has:

• Proven experience managing Project Managers within a technology-driven organization.

• Strong background in overseeing project budgets and understanding key commercial drivers.

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate teams.

• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.

• Detail-oriented and process-driven, with a strong focus on delivering successful project outcomes under pressure.
