The Marketing Logistics Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the marketing team by managing the precise movement, tracking, storage, and fulfillment of marketing materials, event assets, and branded merchandise. This position ensures that event kits, promotional products, and collateral are accurately inventoried, meticulously organized, tracked, and delivered on time to internal teams, customers, and external events. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where operational accuracy, proactive coordination, and reliability are key.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Event & Promotion Logistics
- Coordinate kitting, tracking and shipping of event and promotional materials working closely with marketing, operations, sales and retailers
- Track and manage inventory of event kits to ensure readiness and availability
- Responsible for coordination and shipment of merchandising units, working closely with external vendors and retailers
- Partner with the marketing team to ensure events are fully supplied and materials arrive on time
- Administer the event and promotional booking workflow, from request to execution, ensuring accuracy and accountability
- Maintain brand guideline compliance across all event and promotional executions
- Arrange freight or parcel shipping with carriers (UPS, DHL)
Inventory & Process Management
- Keep accurate records of stock levels, shipments and costs
- Provide recommendations on inventory management and usage
- Organize and maintain marketing storage spaces, keeping materials accessible and labeled
- Comfortably work within SAP to track inventory status and levels for proactive communication and seamless execution
- Prepare and ship marketing kits, sales materials, and promotional packages to sales team and retailers
Marketing & Sales Team Support
- Support sales enablement efforts by ensuring teams have timely access to marketing collateral and product samples
- Serve as point of contact for sales team for event and promotion inquires
- Assist with campaign fulfillment needs such as swag distribution, sample shipments, printed collateral
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand upcoming marketing initiatives and proactively plan logistics
- When required, act as a representative of the Marketing Department, engaging directly with retail partners, store owners, and managers to facilitate successful promotions and events
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for own work and not normally required to direct or supervise other personnel but may occasionally instructor show another employee how to perform the work.
Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university desirable; 5-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in digital marketing as well as experience in cigars preferred.
