We are seeking a Senior Program Manager - Aviation to join us in our Huntsville, AL headquarters in Research Park.

 

Position Overview

Responsible for managing government/military aviation program(s) either directly or through subordinate managers. Ensures that all required resources such as manpower, logistics, facilities and the like are available for the program. Requires staffing, leadership, HR, contract, security, planning, and scheduling experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee 60+ full-time employees including subordinate supervisors, which includes hiring, terminating, salary and performance management

  • Responsible for program profit and loss

  • Plan, direct and monitor budget, and serve as primary source for program information

  • Business development within current customer base and/or for new customers including conducting progressive engagement and capture management for similar tasks

  • Manage annual revenue oversight

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in business or engineering

  • 17 years of experience related to military aviation

  • 5 years of prior Program Management in a defense contract company directly related to military aviation involving 60+ geographically dispersed FTE’s

  • Active secret or higher DoD security clearance

     

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree

  • Military aviation experience at the LT Colonel or higher level
