Pay: $2,196.00/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The RN will play an essential role in providing safe, high-quality care for mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery. This position is ideal for nurses experienced in both routine and high-risk obstetric cases, including C-sections and patients requiring magnesium therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients in all phases of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
• Circulate for C-section deliveries and assist obstetric teams with procedures such as inductions, AROM, and IUPC placements.
• Monitor fetal well-being using GE CPN Gold and Monica Novii telemetry systems.
• Administer and titrate medications, including magnesium sulfate and oxytocin, according to protocol.
• Assess, document, and manage patients in high-risk labor, postpartum on magnesium, PPROM, and preterm labor scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding the labor and postpartum process.
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and hospital policy standards.
• Participate in self-scheduling and work collaboratively to meet unit staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact State RN license (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience (required).
• Must have experience circulating C-sections and caring for high-risk obstetric patients.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (required).
• Strong knowledge of oxytocin protocols, fetal monitoring, and emergency obstetric interventions.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with Meditech and GE CPN Gold preferred.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
