1. Works with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
2. Operates and cares for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes.
3. Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, recess/movement breaks, and field trips (as appropriate).
4. Observes students in classroom setting and discusses observation notes with the teacher.
5. Assists with lunch, snack, & cleanup routines.
6. Assists with wash-up and toilet routines.
7. Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
8. Serves as the chief source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
9. Support and enforce policies as established by the school district.
10. Participate in in-service training programs and attends meetings, as appropriate
11. Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as assigned by an administrator/teacher.
