Summary
The Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas is seeking an Audiology Postgrad Intern. The intern will work closely with our team of audiologists and otology providers, who diagnose, manage, and treat disorders of hearing and balance in adults.
Job Purpose
Provides postgraduates a temporary professional learning experience in which participants gain practical work experience related to a graduate’s field of study.
Must be a part of a formal program to train recent graduates in their specialized profession.
Job Duties
- Administers and interprets audiological and vestibular evaluations and assessments.
- Assesses the candidacy of persons with hearing loss for hearing aids, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants;provide fitting, programming, and audiological rehabilitation to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Counsels individuals with auditory disorders their families and other services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of postsecondary applicable degree/training program.
