Skyword is looking for a versatile and highly skilled Content Strategist to serve as an analyst, advisor, and strategist, collaborating closely with the Senior Account Director to oversee program execution and fulfillment. You’ll be hands-on throughout the process, from research and ideation to briefing, optimization, and performance analysis, ensuring every piece of content aligns with user needs and drives measurable results for some of our top clients. The best candidate can bring a blend of SEO, social media monitoring, LLM, and online audience research expertise to shape compelling content strategies. We are looking for up to 35 hours a week of support.

This position is expected to be available at set times during portions of each day to ensure regular alignment and collaboration within the team, but we are also comfortable with flexibility for when work is completed as long as agreed upon deadlines are met and client meetings are attended. We will work with the candidate to ensure those online times match the needs of their life and schedule.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Serve as content lead in client or internal stakeholder meetings
  • Translate business goals into content strategy and deliverables
  • Act as a subject matter expert: quickly ramp up in client industries 
  • Lead content campaigns from ideation through execution, including research, briefs, optimization, and analysis
  • Build and maintain editorial calendars
  • Perform content audits and gap analyses; recommend updates, pruning, consolidation, or repurposing
  • Apply SEO best practices: keyword research, on-page optimization, internal linking, content structure, metadata, and content discoverability
  • Experience applying content design principles to structure clear, usable, and accessible content across digital experiences
  • Use analytics and performance data to measure impact (traffic, engagement, conversions) and iterate content strategy accordingly

What this role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, english, journalism, communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of digital marketing, content marketing experience, and client management experience
  • Experience in cross-channel content marketing strategy and tactics, including paid, owned, and earned channels
  • Experience with SEO tools / platforms (e.g. SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc)
  • Ability to synthesize stakeholder input, manage ambiguity,navigate conflicts, manage expectations and make tradeoff decisions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (verbal, written, visual)
  • Ability to work multi-threaded: juggling multiple content initiatives, deadlines, and moving parts
  • Ability to combine strategic experience and business acumen to address client strategies through to performance 
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working with technical, creative, and business stakeholders
  • Attention to detail, consistency, quality control mindset
  • Ability and willingness to learn new tools and technologies, especially but not limited to the Skyword Content Management Platform
