The Role

As a Senior Vice President in Workplace Consulting, you will be responsible for consulting with clients on large and complex strategies to align Health & Welfare benefit programs with client business objectives and goals. This includes facilitation of strategy discussions with clients to understand their business as well as providing oversight on project completion and client management. Additionally, you will be involved with new business development, introduce new clients to the firm, and cultivate existing client relationships. While working in a collaborative and dynamic work environment, you will have an opportunity to apply your leadership expertise to help set the direction of the practice and engage associates to encourage a satisfying work atmosphere.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 20+ years of proven industry experience, much of it with a benefits consulting firm

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Credentialed actuary (ASA or FSA) is a plus

  • Deep understanding of health and other employee benefits and related insurance products

  • Understanding of complex business issues and challenges facing clients today

  • Superior teamwork skills and ability to professionally influence others across groups

  • Strong critical thinking and legal problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with outstanding presentation skills

  • Experience building credibility with clients and stakeholders during meetings and presentations

  • Demonstrated ability to sell H&W consulting services

  • Self-motivation and determination to succeed

The Value You Deliver

  • Leading new business efforts including collaborating cross-practice and across Fidelity to secure new business for consulting and the broader organization

  • Creating sustainable and profitable client relationships and ensure quality work products are delivered.

  • Consulting across H&W issues and anticipating changing client needs

  • Identifying opportunities to bring in other consulting capabilities

  • Contributing to thought leadership across consulting and Fidelity

  • Working with other areas across Fidelity to deliver integrated solutions

  • Managing associates and mentoring all those (across all practices) with whom you work

  • Leading the effort to interview/hire new associates

  • Remaining current on legislative and technical requirements
