Trinity Metro has an immediate opening for a Custodial Supervisor. The incumbent in this role will provide supervision of custodial and shelter cleaner staff at Trinity Metro, as well as planning and managing programs related to maintenance, repair, and cleaning of all facilities.
This position’s responsibilities include:
- Directs and motivates the custodial and shelter crews in the sanitation and cleaning of all Trinity Metro buildings, offices, restrooms, rail stations, shelters, bus stops and benches and shelter repairs; inspect areas for cleanliness
- Evaluates performance, allocates and selects personnel, disciplines personnel
- Provides budget assistance, maintains inventory levels by requisitioning appropriate items when needed, provides inventory control – in the warehouse and individual custodial closets
- Exhibits ability to effectively train others and possess a strong customer service attitude
- Provide support to the Property Manager and other departments, as needed, with the custodial crew
- Oversee effective cleaning of all shelters, rail stations, benches, and bus stops within the system area, inspect areas for cleanliness
- Plan work and provide specific employee assignments
- Oversee replacement and/or repair of damaged shelters, benches and bus stop signage
- Receive requests regarding dirty, damaged, and destroyed shelters, benches and bus stop signs. Perform corrective action and respond to the complainant,
- Coordinate with Planning, Operations and outside consultants on the removing, replacement and servicing of shelters, benches and bus stops.
- Coordinate with staff to ensure ample coverage during special events and holidays
- Regularly monitor GPS data for vehicles in the department and CodeReadr App scans for shelter cleaning – continuously evaluate and revise routes for shelter cleaners based on information
- Complete payroll and approve time off for all staff, manage staff to ensure ample coverage when there is time off
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with both custodial and shelter departments
- Be available via email and phone, after regular hours, to address concerns with and provide directions to staff.
- Maintains confidential information.
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
Other Responsibilities include:
- Assist in preparation of scopes of work for Procurement
- Oversee work by outside vendors
- Maintains all SDS for chemicals utilized by staff
- Works with administrative staff, shipping and receiving and accounting to ensure all invoices are paid
- Participates in company community activities to promote transit on off duty hours.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of five years of supervisory experience
- A minimum of five year of commercial cleaning experience
Any combination of experience, training and/or education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may substitute for the required education.
