The Supervisor, Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for leading a team of Billing and Collections associates primarily responsible for billing, aging, collections, write-offs and adjustments of insurance claims. Business lines can include commercial, health plan, Medicare, Medicaid, local and discount plans. The primary purpose of this position is to submit clean claims to 3rd party insurance carriers, maximize collections and minimize bad debt.


  • Supervises the day-to-day activities of associates and ensures team execution of:
    • Correcting claim data in Acuity Logic system prior to billing for specified plans
    • Submitting both paper and electronic claims in Acuity Logic for specified plans to 3rd party carriers timely
    • Submitting manual vouchers and invoices to plans that don’t accept claim forms in a timely manner
    • Interpreting and following up on claim denials from 3rd Party carriers for specified plans
    • Monitoring the aging of specified plans to ensure prompt and accurate payment for specified plans
  • Maintain proper claim scrubbing edits for specified plans and communicate updates with IT
  • Oversees the AR revenue collection process and maintains acceptable levels of AR for the designated Plans
  • Personnel responsibilities to include scheduling, recruiting, hiring, training, timecard approvals, PTO requests, performance management and employee development
  • Conducts regular, scheduled meetings with direct reports to review activities, resolve outstanding issues, apprise of departmental activities, etc.
  • Develops expertise in specific plans assigned to the position and acts as a department and company resource for questions relating to billing of these plans
  • Communicates all system, site, and billing company issues to the AR Manager on a timely basis to allow management oversight and proper resource planning
  • Be a resource for practices for questions relating to billing
  • Makes recommendations for efficiencies, processes, etc. which will deliver quality, cost savings, and/or profitability improvements within the department and / or across the organization
  • Keeps RCM Manager informed of daily issues and concerns
  • Ensures timely responses and resolution of the help desk tickets concerning their specified team
  • Perform other duties and projects, as assigned
