The Fulfillment Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of order fulfillment and outbound shipping operations within Budderfly’s warehouse. This role ensures customer and project orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on schedule while maintaining ERP data integrity and safety standards. The Fulfillment Team Lead works closely with the Warehouse Lead and Logistics Manager, while reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager to optimize efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Fulfillment Leadership:
Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the fulfillment team to ensure timely and accurate order processing, packing, and shipment preparation. - Order Management:
Review order queues in the ERP system to prioritize and schedule fulfillment based on business needs and shipping deadlines. - Shipping Oversight:
Manage outbound shipping processes for small pack shipments, including documentation, labeling, and compliance with company requirements. - ERP Utilization:
Ensure all fulfillment and shipping transactions are accurately recorded in the ERP system to maintain real-time inventory visibility and order status accuracy. - Quality Assurance:
Verify order accuracy, packaging integrity, and proper labeling to ensure error-free deliveries. - Inventory Coordination:
Partner with the Warehouse Lead to ensure materials and products required for fulfillment are properly stocked, located, and ready for dispatch. - Team Development:
Train, coach, and support fulfillment associates to maintain performance, accuracy, and adherence to standard operating procedures. - Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; promote adherence to company safety policies and OSHA requirements. - Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities to improve fulfillment speed, accuracy, and process flow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5–7 years in warehouse and fulfillment operations, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) and shipping platforms (e.g., UPS/FedEx systems); strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of order fulfillment, warehouse workflows, and shipping compliance requirements.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, train employees, and drive accountability for accuracy and performance.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, operate standard warehouse equipment, and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Soft Skills: Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills; strong sense of urgency and problem-solving ability.
Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
