ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Parking and Transportation Demand Management (PTDM) Ordinance is a national model for improving mobility and access, reducing congestion and air pollution, and increasing traffic safety by promoting walking, bicycling, public transit, and other sustainable modes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of the PTDM Officer, the TDM Program Data Coordinator will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to annual TDM Program reporting, including database administration, bug tracking and testing, data analysis and visualization, user support, tracking and reviewing annual reports, and other areas as needed. In addition, the candidate will provide basic administrative support to the TDM Program.
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the primary contact with the software vendor for the City’s cloud-based TDM data management system (OneCommute, an application built on Salesforce) to manage, improve, and test the system.
- Act as administrator for the TDM Program’s OneCommute package, managing user setup, roles, profiles, field changes, and data updates and exports and keeping up to date with Salesforce platform updates.
- Manage error tracking and perform thorough testing of system updates to ensure they meet business requirements and function as expected.
- Serve as the OneCommute Business Analyst, translating TDM Program needs into system enhancements and streamlining processes.
- Track and review annual reports from TDM Program properties for completeness and compliance with deadlines and project commitments.
- Communicate with property owners as part of the annual transportation monitoring and reporting processes.
- Serve as the first point of contact for OneCommute/Salesforce-related questions and issues from internal and external users, ensuring swift resolution or escalation as needed.
- Provide training and guidance to external users of the OneCommute system.
- Create and maintain training documents for internal use.
- Assist the PTDM Officer in managing, analyzing, and visualizing TDM Program data for internal use or to fulfill external requests.
- Oversee data integrity and ensure data quality through regular audits and data cleanup.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in OneCommute.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability and commitment to check data sets and analysis for accuracy.
Strong quantitative skills using advanced Excel.
Strong querying language skills (SQL or other query language).
Excellent project planning and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills.
Strong software testing skills.
Proficiency in maintaining data management integrity, including the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data.
Ability to make a two-year commitment.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in TDM and sustainable transportation planning.
Expert quantitative analysis and critical reasoning skills to structure and carry out analyses using R or other statistical software.
Experience with Salesforce products (e.g. OneCommute).
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements to solutions and the ability to work with technical teams to deliver these solutions.
Hours: 19.5 hours/week, 3 or more days per week
This is a part-time, non-management, non-benefitted position. After training, the position is eligible for remote work under the City’s remote work policy.
