About the role

simplehuman is seeking an Account Manager to oversee and grow our portfolio of commercial reseller and retail accounts. This is a key role on our Sales team, responsible for managing existing partnerships, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring strong brand presentation across the B2B and retail landscape. The ideal candidate is strategic, analytical, and relationship-driven, with a proven ability to manage large accounts and deliver results. This is a fully on-site position based in our Torrance, CA office.



Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial and retail accounts, including responsibility for sales growth, profitability, and account development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, category managers, and purchasing teams to drive assortment expansion and sales performance
  • Develop and execute tailored account strategies, including promotions, pricing plans, and new product launches
  • Analyze sales, margin, and inventory data to identify growth opportunities and optimize business performance
  • Negotiate annual terms, program participation, and marketing support with accounts
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to deliver seamless execution and superior customer experience
  • Research and evaluate new opportunities within the commercial channels
  • Serve as the brand ambassador and product expert in customer meetings and industry events


Qualifications

  • Smart, outgoing, and confident communicator with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, with strong business and financial acumen
  • Proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top university
  • 5–10 years of experience in account management, preferably with national retailers or commercial resellers
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis; experience with ERP systems a plus
