What is the purpose of this job?
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the landlord consent application process for the Passenger Information Systems roll out, for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) /a secondment is also considered/, with Rail Delivery Group.
The role requires a strong track record of successfully navigating the approval pathways, maintaining trusted relationships with surveyors, consultants and reviewers across all UK regions to help ensure timely delivery of consents to support project milestones.
The successful candidate will act as a liaison between Network Rail, Train Operating Companies and internal RDG delivery teams, ensuring that technical and commercial requirements are met while building and sustaining positive stakeholder relationships.
What can I expect to do in this job?
Whilst not an exhaustive list, the post holder can expect to do the following:
- Propose and implement a process to streamline landlord consent acquisition for RDG system installation at stations, to create efficiencies and meet delivery timescales.
- Advise on content and provide quality assurance on all relevant materials and documentation as required.
- Expedite applications and resolve issues by leveraging professional networks and established relationships.
- Negotiate approvals and resolve consent-related disputes.
- Work closely with internal project teams to align technical requirements with Network Rail expectations.

- All other partner organisations and specialists dealing with LLC process and outcomes
Requirements
What experience, skills and knowledge do I need?
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrable experience managing the end-to-end Network Rail landlord consent application process.
- Established working relationships with surveyors, consultants, and reviewers involved in landlord consent approvals across all UK regions.
- Strong understanding of regional variations in landlord consent requirements, processes, and timelines.
- Proven ability to expedite applications by leveraging professional networks and stakeholder relationships.
- Track record of resolving complex consent issues and successfully negotiating approvals.
- Collaborative style of working (e.g. with internal project teams to align technical requirements with landlord expectations).
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of wider station change practices, property, planning, or estates management processes.
- Experience of implementing process improvements to streamline landlord consent applications.
