We are searching for an experienced CDL Driver at our DDG 72-Plant City-FL facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Dedicated local route delivering to Dexter customers in Florida weekly, including customers in Jacksonville and Miami.
• Home nights and weekends.
• Pay structure includes a combination of mileage pay, drop pay, and hourly pay. Average miles 1750-2000 per week, and 30-32 drops per week.
• Equipment is an automatic International Day Cab Truck pulling a 53' flatbed or drop deck.
• Deliver trailer and trailer products to customers timely while operating a tractor-trailer truck, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several areas of the state.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road. Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Valid Class A CDL Required.
• Flatbed experience preferred.
• 1 year experience, including manual.
• Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 3 years.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
