WECU is seeking a Disclosure Specialist who will be responsible for managing and overseeing the mortgage disclosure process, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. This role involves the preparation, review, and auditing of disclosure documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with State and Federal requirements. The Disclosure Specialist will work closely with the Production team, Compliance Analyst, and QC team to maintain a streamlined and transparent disclosure process for our members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor initial disclosure due dates via LOS system. Prepare, validate, and provide accurate and compliant initial disclosures within the regulatory timeframe.
- Review loan data for accuracy and completeness prior to disclosure. Including, but not limited to names, addresses, demographic information, loan information (i.e., loan amount, interest, terms, lock-in expiration dates, etc.)
- Ensure that disclosures reflect correct fees, rates, and loan terms.
- Review each loan request to make sure the file is compliantly documented and issue the Loan Estimate according to the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure/Know Before You Owe rules and the required Reg Z disclosures for open-end credit.
- Communicate with loan officers, members, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor changed circumstances via LOS system. Prepare and send accurate and compliant re-disclosures within the regulatory timeframe. Evaluate re-disclosure requests from production staff to ensure validity.
- Stay informed of regulatory changes affecting mortgage disclosures and update procedures as needed.
- Implement best practices and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Function as a resource for team members on disclosure-related questions and issues.
- Provide clear and prompt communication to address compliance questions from internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow WECU’s policies, procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned and may also assist others to complete tasks and work assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 2 or 4yr college degree in related field preferred.
- Must be knowledgeable of elements of a basic mortgage loan file, including disclosure documents, loan closing documents, appraisal, title report, income verification, credit report, and 1003 URLA.
- Understands mortgage real estate lending practices, including state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of Mortgage Regulations: Strong understanding of TRID, RESPA, TILA, and other relevant regulations.
- Two years of prior experience in mortgage lending or real estate is preferred.
- Must possess strong organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Change advocate, able to work in a high-pressure environment, and effectively prioritize workload.
- Must possess strong computer application knowledge and be able to readily learn and adapt to new programs and processes as needed.

COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position is from $25.20 to $35.58 per hour.
