The Director of HRIS is a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing the organization’s Human Resources Information Systems, including core HR platforms (e.g., UKG), Learning Management Systems, and related technology. This role is pivotal in driving HR digital transformation, ensuring system integrity, compliance, and aligning technology solutions with the mission of delivering high-quality behavioral health services.
This individual will collaborate closely with HR, IT, Finance, Compliance, and clinical leadership to support data-driven decision-making and optimize the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & System Oversight:
- Develop and execute the HRIS strategy aligned with organizational goals, workforce priorities, and compliance needs in behavioral health.
- Oversee the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG), LMS (e.g., Relias), performance management systems, and payroll/timekeeping integrations.
- Oversee LinkedIn, Indeed and other job posting sites.
- Lead system selection, upgrades, and vendor partnerships to ensure technology supports growth, compliance, and efficiency.
- Serve as the key liaison between HR, IT, and system vendors to ensure seamless system operations.
Team & Project Management:
- Manage and provide functional leadership across projects involving HR technology.
- Lead cross-functional project teams to implement system improvements or new technology initiatives.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of system changes, upgrades, and reporting requests.
Compliance, Data Integrity & Reporting:
- Ensure all HRIS processes and data meet healthcare regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, ACA, EEOC, FMLA, and other labor and industry-specific laws.
- Oversee the development and delivery of HR dashboards and analytics that inform executive decision-making on workforce trends, retention, training compliance, and staffing.
- Establish data governance standards, audit protocols, and controls to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in HRIS,
- Strong experience with UKG or similar enterprise HRIS platforms.
- Proven track record in HRIS strategy, system implementation, and cross-departmental leadership.
- Experience in healthcare or behavioral health environment, with knowledge of HIPAA and compliance practices.
- Exceptional project management, data analysis, and change management skills.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment requiring discretion with highly sensitive information.
- Collaborates across departments and levels to lead HR technology initiatives.
- Occasional travel to other sites.
Salary Range: $95,000 – $105,000 (commensurate with experience) Any compensation range provided is an estimate based on current market data. The actual offer may fall above or below this range, depending on the candidate’s experience, skills, and geographic location.
