POSITION: Director of Financial Aid (PCN 00749010)

STARTING DATE: Approximately October 24, 2025

APPOINTMENT: Full-Time Unlimited

SALARY RANGE: $30.10 - $43.59/hour ($62,849 - $91,016/annual)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, organize, and administer financial aid programs and the financial aid office.

• Develop and implement financial aid policies and procedures that are in compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Administer the financial aid programs in a timely manner that enhances the college’s ability to recruit and retain eligible students.

• Manage federal, state, and institutional reporting requirements.

• Communicate with federal and state offices regarding funding, audits and program reviews.

• Represent the department in college-wide activities and to external constituents and agencies in matters relating to financial aid.

• Oversee Veteran Services and benefits.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of experience in Financial Aid or similar setting. An Associate’s degree substitutes for six months of experience.

• Student record system experience

• Three years supervisory or lead work experience

• Good communication, interpersonal & customer service skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 5 years recent experience in Financial Aid

• Experience exercising professional judgement by interpreting complex federal, state, MN system, and internal policies

• Ability to present information to groups of people

• General knowledge of higher education policies and procedures

• Knowledge of FERPA and Minnesota Data Practices Act

• Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds

• Experience with Military & Veteran student populations or services
