We are seeking a Building Supervisor who takes pride in craftsmanship, leadership, and creating spaces that shine. The Building Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the restaurant, external buildings, and property are well maintained. Areas of responsibility include, equipment management, facilities infrastructure, landscaping and grounds keeping, and front of house and public area maintenance. The Supervisor will report directly to the location’s General Manager.

Requirements

The following is a condensed version of the essential duties and responsibilities for this role:

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take a hands-on role in overseeing daily property maintenance, repairs, and preventive programs, ensuring timely, high-quality results.
  • Maintain all building systems, public areas, and outdoor spaces to the highest standards of safety, functionality, and appearance.
  • Perform and coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Lead, support, and work alongside the maintenance team while managing third-party vendors to ensure efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and OSHA standards to maintain a secure environment for employees and guests.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and ownership to provide timely updates on maintenance projects and priorities.
  • Serve as the on-call contact for after-hours facility emergencies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Proficient in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, basic carpentry, and painting.
  • Skilled in landscaping and exterior presentation.
  • Knowledge of planning and maintaining facility budgets.
  • High level understanding of working with third party vendors and contractors. 
  • Knowledge in building codes, safety regulations, maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Highly organized, attention to detail, and self-directed.
  • Able to build relationships at all levels within the organization and externally.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read situations accurately, anticipate reactions, and adapt communication or approach accordingly when addressing operational issues or interacting with executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and supervisory skills.? 
  • Advanced project management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Demonstrated strong performance in analytical, innovative, and critical thinking, strategy and collaboration. 
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and an ability to resolve issues efficiently.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate Degree preferred in a related field.
  • At least three years’ experience in building and facilities management, hospitality a plus.
  • At least one year of experience in a supervisory role.
  • OSHA 10/30 Level II certification, required.   
  • EPA/HVAC Universal Certification or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire date.  
  • Any of the following licenses/certifications will be given preference: HVAC certification, EPA Certification, OSHA, General Contractors License, Designation from facility management organizations (i.e. IFMA, BOMA, USGBC, etc.)? 
  • Working experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365 and electronic work order systems. 

  

While performing the duties of this job, the team member:?? 

  • Required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Required to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, turn, and reach overhead for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to use hands for fine manipulation of hand tools.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting and carrying (up to 75 pounds).  
  • Must have a good driving record with proof of insurance.? 
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, use repetitive motion, type, and hear.
