Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Technical Assistant to join our growing team in Charleston, SC.
The Personal Lines Technical Assistant supports the Personal Lines department by managing various administrative and technical tasks to ensure efficient servicing of accounts. This role is responsible for processing carrier correspondence, maintaining accurate account records in AMS and ImageRight, assisting with incoming calls, and executing quality control measures. The Technical Assistant also helps with renewals, policy changes, and compliance communications, while providing general support to account managers and team members as needed to manage workloads and ensure timely customer service.
How You Will Contribute:
Receive and process company correspondence for accounts: renewals, amended declarations, cancellations, reinstatements, new business, returned mail, refund checks, policy changes, company requests for additional information, etc.
Keep all information in AMS updated and correct and document all accounts in ImageRight & by following Brown & Brown procedures.
Assist on incoming phone calls.
Quality Control: send out renewal questionnaires, keep up to date monthly expirations lists, check new policies, send out company downgrade letters, send out cover sheet with policies advising insured to review policy carefully, notify customers if coverage is with a non-admitted carrier by sending letter to be signed and returned.
Send out binders on all new business, including vehicle ID cards.
Suspend activities that need a follow up and keep suspense items current.
Assist others with workload.
Licenses and Certifications:
Property & Casualty License
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
H.S. Diploma
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
1 – 3 years’ experience in a similar position
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a business or related discipline (Preferred)
