Indianapolis Cooler Dockworker - Part Time:  30 hours per week / shift start time 1:30 AM

Working overtime, evenings, and holidays may be required.

Position Overview

This position is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our facility. This role involves the preparation and loading and unloading of trucks with products to ensure that all items are handled with care and accuracy. This position contributes significantly to our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

The Part-time Cooler Dockworker shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Loading and unloading milk trailers.

• Dragging full milk cases onto conveyors and unloading empty milk cases onto conveyors.

• Putting up milk orders off load sheets, making sure correct orders are on the right trailer.

• Keeping product properly rotated and cleaned.

• Drive trucks or tractors at vehicle parking or docking area to move and position around dock area.

• Position vehicles in the correct spots to load and unload trailers.

• Connects loaded semi-trailers to tractors for the driver.

• May fuel trucks and tractors.

• May clean interior and exterior of trucks.

• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• The applicant must be 18 years of age.

• Must be able to drive back into tight places.

• Must have a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

• (S)he may be required to work in outside weather for the duration of the shift in the staging and loading of trailers.

• Must be able to drag cases of milk weighing approximately 165-230 pounds continuously.

• Must be able to work in temperatures varying from -10 degrees to 100+ degrees.

• Required to handle certain types of chemicals and be able to climb atop various tanks and trailers.

• Must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, climb, and lift various pounds throughout the day.
