Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a full time Yard Associate position will focus on duties such as stocking the yard area, warehouse areas, shipping and receiving of products, loading/unloading trucks and counter sales duties as well. The workweek is Monday through Saturday, with an opportunity for overtime during the busy season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Operating heavy-duty front-end loaders to load customers and move materials.
- Stocking, receiving, pulling, and staging all yard/warehouse products.
- Loading, unloading, and securing product for customers, delivery vehicles, and inbound trucks.
- Keeping yard area neat and organized.
- Operating Forklifts and front-end loaders in outdoor environments.
- Focusing on safe work practices, such as wearing PPE, proper lifting techniques, etc., while performing daily duties and using company equipment.
- Other related duties as assigned such as receiving etc.
SALES DUTIES MAY INCLUDE
- Entering orders at the point of sale using the company computer system
- Interacting with customers over the phone, via email, and in-person
- Greet customers with a friendly attitude
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Communicate to customers the correct product for their application
- Communicate to customers how the material is priced and sold
- Create Sales Orders
- Create Quotes to estimate the cost of projects, quantities of material needed from customer measurements
- Efficient scheduling of truck deliveries
- Clear communication between manager, employees, and clients
- Being honest, courteous, and respectful to customers & employees at all times
- Maintain and assist to keep a clean work environment
- Learn basic knowledge of products available to customers
- Inform management of products/special order material customers need
- Assist with Inventory Cycle Counts
- Order picking/staging/Replenishment
- Shipping/Receiving
- Loading/unloading delivery vehicles
- Other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Basic computer knowledge and Internet use
- Forklift Operator experience
- Ability to lift 75 pounds; 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is helpful, but not required
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test/background screening.

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $19.00 to $20.91 per hour. SRS/Heritage considers multiple factors including job related knowledge, skillset and experience when determining the final salary.
