Construction Project Supervisor:
A construction project supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all daily operations on a construction site to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget. They serve as the primary on-site link between workers, subcontractors, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates good work practices through compliance and support of all site safety and health rules and guidelines.
- Develop, organize, and monitor project schedules and timelines.
- Coordinate daily tasks and activities for crew members and subcontractors.
- Ensure construction work is performed to blueprints, plans and specifications.
- Implement change orders and resolve design or construction problems.
- Conduct regular site inspections to evaluate progress and quality of work.
- Supervise and assign workers to engage in specific duties safely, correctly and in an efficient manner.
- Communicate daily responsibilities and goals to crew members.
- Address and resolve conflicts or miscommunication among crew members.
- Maintain time and productivity records.
- Oversee site security and implement procedures to protect equipment and materials.
- Procure and manage the delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring resources are adequate and on time.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, clients, sub-contractors and vendors by providing regular project updates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Experience in planning, scheduling and budget management.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Candidate must possess an OSHA 30 certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Candidate must possess a Power Safe Safety training certification or be willing to obtain it.
- Successful candidates must complete a drug screening and background check prior to employment.
