Job Title: Electrical Service Technician (Residential & Commercial)

Job Summary:

The Residential/Commercial Electrical Service Technician will troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems on the structural wiring of single-family homes, multi-family properties, and commercial buildings accurately and efficiently. This role ensures all work adheres to the National Electrical Code, as well as state and local building code standards, while upholding Strada Services’ Brand Promise of delivering professional, responsive service with uncompromising reliability, respect, and value to our customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Inspect, identify hazards or defects, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems on structural wiring, service equipment, receptacles, switches, and light fixtures.
• Perform repairs or replacements per manufacturer recommendations while adhering to NEC standards and best practices.
• Work from ladders, scaffolds, and scissor lifts to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
• Engage with homeowners, builders, and engineers to communicate issues and recommend repairs, replacements, or upgrades.
• Lead customers to informed and confident buying decisions.
• Communicate effectively with customers, building officials, and internal office support staff.
• Direct electrical apprentices as assigned to ensure work scope completion.
• Document completed work with before and after photos and accurate invoices.
• Accurately estimate and invoice for repairs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·       Clean driving record (no more than 3 points in 12 months).

·       Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.

·       Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

·       Ability to read technical diagrams, equipment controls, and blueprints.

·       Basic math skills related to NEC calculations.

·       Excellent work ethic and willingness to learn new methods.

·       Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

·       Demonstrated safe working practices and methods.

·       Ability to navigate and use a company-provided electronic tablet.

·       Experience with transformers, switchgear, panelboards, and meter pack installations.

·       Experience with 120/240V and 277/480V systems.

·       Ability to bend conduit accurately and understand conduit fill and derating methods per NEC code.

·       Familiarity with Service Titan trade software preferred.

Education and Experience:

·       3+ years of residential electrical wiring, repair, and troubleshooting experience preferred.

·       3+ years of commercial wiring, repair, and troubleshooting experience preferred.

·       FEAT or other electrical apprenticeship training is preferred.

·       Journeyman’s certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

·       Prolonged periods of standing, crawling, and climbing ladders up to 24’.

·       Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.

·       Ability to work safely in various outdoor environments including heat, cold, attics, and crawl spaces.

·       Must report to work well-groomed and maintain a clean uniform.
