About the Role:
Responsibilities related to the, maintenance, repair or upkeep of company building. This may include assisting in the construction or renovation of the facility, general maintenance and upkeep of plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical and other systems, minor repairs to machinery or other equipment, and general maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Five years experience related to maintaining the operations of a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of general construction principles, grounds keeping, heating, cooling, electrical, pneumatic control systems, waste systems, and chemical or specialty gas dispense systems.
Preferred Qualifications:.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on Molding Presses, Grinding Machines, ECM Cut Off saws, electric motors, HVAC systems, electro polish, automatic cleaning systems, gluing stations Hydraulic, Pneumatic Electronic trouble-shooting on PLCs, VFDs and metal forming equipment ; following SOPs, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by informing production supervisors and workers of routine preventive maintenance; monitoring compliance.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance work orders by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information for history file on each machine.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Stays compliant with RCRA and DOT training. Keeps up to date with all internal SOP, GMP and Safety training.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand throughout eight hour shift
- Performs other duties as required.
