What You’ll Do
As a Mold Designer, you’ll play a critical role in designing and developing Class A molds for both new and legacy products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including product development, tooling engineers, and production—to deliver innovative mold solutions that meet demanding engineering and production requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing complex multi-cavity, hot runner, and high-performance molds using SolidWorks.
- Applying expert knowledge of injection molding processes to optimize flow, cooling, ejection, and cycle time.
- Leading design reviews and ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards.
- Supporting project timelines, cost estimates, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Bring
- Associate degree or certificate in Plastics Engineering, Mold Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in plastic injection mold design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with CAM integration and CNC machining.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM principles, and mold performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
