Care Manager (Full Time Temporary)

We exist to ensure every student, family member, and school-based staff member is not left to carry the heavy burden of finding accessible mental health care alone. Our web-based care navigation system enables the fast, easy, and convenient connection of students and families in need of mental healthcare to qualified providers and resources. 


Job Purpose

Rather than serving as a traditional therapist to scores of patients, the Care Manager is a critical member of a seasoned team that connects thousands of families to community based mental health providers. This licensed mental health professional will join a rapidly growing team designed to calm the chaos of mental health care by serving as an added layer of support while families navigate the mental health system. The Care Manager will leverage their bilingual language skills to provide and deliver the highest level of customer service and care coordination to those in need of mental health and substance use disorder resources. The Care Manager will connect individuals and families seeking mental health services using their knowledge and expertise, but does not provide any direct clinical services to Care Solace clients.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide care coordination services to individuals or families seeking mental health or substance use disorder services, ranging from low to high severity, across the United States.
  • Consult with school staff members as needed.
  • Determine if case needs to be referred case to Child Welfare Services or law enforcement
  • Work with dynamic team of care coordinators to assist on complex and high severity cases
  • Complete all relevant documentation.
  • Provide clinical insight and consult on cases as needed.
  • Follow all company protocols and guidelines
  • Comply with mandated reporting requirements and complete reports as needed.
  • Be willing to step in whenever needed
  • Provide excellent service to those in need
  • Passionate attitude and advocacy to get individuals into services they need.
  • Be on call for emergencies according to on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Education & Skills

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or relevant field
  • Active independent license in mental health related field without any disciplinary or board actions, including: LCSW, LICSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW required.
  • Must have completed any supervision requirements related to license
  • 1+ year of relevant experience
  • Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred

Working Experience

  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults
  • Experience working in a hospital or child welfare setting strongly preferred
  • Experience working with school districts preferred
  • Team player, empathetic, respectful, clear, and direct communicator, positive attitude
  • Ability to work in virtual environment and fast-paced environment
  • Sound clinical and ethical judgment

Working Conditions

Depending on the location of the candidate, remote work is possible if not within driving distance of Encinitas office. Requires working virtually with our remote teams. 

Working Hours

Full time. Candidates must be based in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Salary Description
$80,000 - $90,000/year
