Summary/Objective:
The Senior Accountant will manage all accounting and financial operations at the Geo-Flo site in Bedford, IN, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting. Serving as the local accounting point of contact, this position is responsible for daily financial activities, monthly closings, and coordination with the Aalberts Hydronic Flow Control North America finance team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while contributing to the broader goals of the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting functions for the Bedford site, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing coordination.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes accurately and on time.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports and variance analyses for submission to the Aalberts North America finance team.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and capital project records.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Monitor and reconcile cash accounts and support cash management activities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
- Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with corporate finance and leadership teams on system integration, reporting improvements, and financial process alignment.
- Serve as a trusted partner to local leadership, providing insight into financial performance and business results.

Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, and communicate clearly.
May occasionally be required to lift light items (typically under 10 lbs).
The role requires extended hours when meeting deadlines, preparing for audits, or managing financial reporting cycles.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Core working hours will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. working at least 40 hours each week. Evening and weekend work is required as work duties and requirements demand.
Travel
This position operates primarily in an office setting at Geo-Flo’s Bedford, IN facility. Occasional travel to the Fishers, IN headquarters may be required for meetings, training, or collaboration with the finance team.
Required Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
· Strong understanding of general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
· Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel proficiency.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· CPA or active pursuit of CPA certification.
· Experience with NetSuite or other integrated ERP platforms.
· Exposure to corporate consolidations or multi-entity reporting structures.
· Experience working in a matrixed organization or supporting remote leadership.
