Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Physician Billing Specialist II to assist with billing for multiple departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, including patient registration, familliarity with HIPAA regulations to maintain the security of patient information, and enjoys working as a team and independently in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
- Monitors and maintain workques (registrations, self-pay, medicaid found, and others).
- Assists with missing surgery reports.
- Reviews operative notes to determine if they are ready for processing.
- Assists with data entry.
- Resolves patient billing issues.
- Resolves patient reconciliations reports.
- Assists with helping departments meet monthly goals and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- A relevant degree may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Familliarity with HIPAA.
- Strong computer skills, including Epic and Excel.
Position-Specific Information
This position may require the ability to work overtime during month end.
