As the Associate Manager, R&D, you will oversee the development, engagement, and collaboration of your direct reports on the R&D our Inari Business Unit. You will lead the R&D Operations team comprising of personnel in the R&D Lab, Machine Shop, 3D Printing areas.

- Demonstrate a strong passion for discipline in work execution, ensuring strategic, process excellence, technical rigor, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce procedures to ensure the effective operation of your areas as well as implement ideas and systems to improve efficiency of the shop and labs
- Work with project teams to maximize utility of the R&D lab space and identify opportunities to share equipment and capabilities across the R&D organization
- Communicate and influence effectively with customers, employees, partners, and senior leaders by conveying complex business, regulatory, and technical ideas clearly.
- Drive financial accountability by creating, managing, and tracking project budgets while contributing to business unit R&D projections, financial models, and overall strategy.
What You Will Need:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
- >1 year of people management experience
- Aspiring people leader with the ability to coach, mentor, and provide constructive feedback while developing skills in managing team performance.
- Exposure to talent and performance management strategies, with interest in building high-performing and engaged teams.
- Strong communicator, capable of clearly presenting plans and technical information across functions while fostering collaboration.
- Proven ability to deliver complex programs and business objectives on time, on quality, and within budget, with a growing understanding of the healthcare market and competitive landscape.
- $100k - $190k salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
