About the Role

As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction, operational excellence, and organizational culture of the IPORT business. You will oversee cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. This role emphasizes leadership, organizational communication, team development, and operational oversight, along with direct coordination with sales leadership.

     
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute long-term strategies that align with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across all functional areas, including product development, marketing, and operations.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify and address market opportunities and challenges.
  • Identify strategic needs in the business that lift constraints and allow the brand to scale, building frameworks where none exist today.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of key departments to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Establish and monitor OKRs to measure team performance and organizational success.
  • Implement robust processes and tools to enhance operational capabilities and outcomes.
  • Identify gaps in the customer journey, designing process improvements and new processes that elevate the customer experience.
  • Enhance post-sales operations and cultivate long-term customer relationships to drive retention and loyalty.

Team Development and Leadership 

Lead and inspire a diverse team, including:

  • Director of Product Management
  • Director of Product Development
  • Director of Marketing
  • Operations Leader
  • Quality Leader
  • Overseas Operations
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership to ensure strong communication, organizational expectation alignment, and deep understanding of customer and market needs.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Identify and nurture leadership potential within the organization, ensuring a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Excel in cultivating organizational communication, enabling clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Navigate a matrixed organization effectively, building cross-functional relationships and demonstrating influence without direct authority.

Brand and Cultural Stewardship

  • Champion the company’s brand identity and core values, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment across all teams.
  • Act as a role model for the organization’s values, promoting an inclusive and engaging workplace.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with customers and partners to understand needs and ensure alignment with product and service offerings.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Develop and oversee departmental budgets, ensuring resources are allocated strategically and responsibly.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and reinvestment in growth initiatives.

Organizational Excellence

  • Promote best practices in project management, product lifecycle management, and operational execution.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance organizational agility and adaptability in a dynamic market environment.

    

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a leadership role, managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational success.
  • Strong working knowledge of Apple, iOS, mobile devices, and software apps.
  • Strong strategic vision with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team development, operational oversight, and organizational leadership.
  • Experience excelling in organizational communication and leading within a matrixed environment.
  • Proven ability to identify customer journey gaps, enhance post-sales experiences, and nurture long- term customer relationships.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
  • Budget management experience, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
