INTERN, REO/DEVELOPMENT

Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Costa Mesa, California, the Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Development
    1. Organize files in folders within shared drive
    2. Create and monitor project schedules
    3. Assist with maintaining project budgets
    4. Take notes at job walks with architects, engineers, and contractors

 

  1. Marketing
    1. Assist in writing clear and compelling copy for various tenants for use on marketing channels such as websites, reader boards, social media, etc.   
    2. Make updates as needed to property websites, broker and prospect search sites, marketing brochures, print campaigns, etc. 

 

  1. Leasing
    1. Obtain and file interior photos of all vacant suites.
    2. Assist in creating individual property control plans indicating tenant roll-over. 
    3. Assist with new tenant prospecting including canvasing the marketing, completing cold calls and establishing direct marketing campaigns. 
    4. Create cost of occupancy report based on 2022 sales for all tenants. 
    5. Assist with tour scheduling and fielding prospecting calls. 
    6. Attend showings tours with Leasing team. 

 

  1. Property Management
    1. Perform property walks to ensure properties are meeting ownership expectations. Detail items that need to be corrected/addressed and assist PM team in coordinating appropriate vendor(s) for completion. 
    2. Assist in updating vendor information within preventative maintenance schedules for each property.
    3. Assist in confirming that all vendor certificates of insurance on file are updated with appropriate additional insured entities.
    4. Attend and take notes during weekly property management huddles, assist with necessary follow up communication and update progress trackers.
