Role Title: Dirt Is Good Marketing Manager (maternity cover)

Work Level: 2C

Location: 100VE, London

About the Team

Dirt Is Good (DIG) is one of Unilever’s most iconic and impactful brands with a global footprint exceeding 4 billion. More than just a laundry detergent, DIG is a movement that champions human values - resilience, growth, creativity, and emotional strength - through the freedom to explore, express, and experience life fully. Our latest global brand communication idea, Play On, reframes dirt not as something to be avoided, but as a powerful symbol of courage, exploration, and personal development. In a world where people of all ages face increasing pressures and fewer opportunities for real, unfiltered experiences, DIG stands for something bigger: empowering humanity to embrace life’s messiness as a path to growth. We are redefining the laundry category by moving beyond product efficacy to focus on cultural relevance and human impact—and we’re looking for bold, purpose-driven thinkers to help us lead that transformation.

The Dirt Is Good (DIG) brand (which groups multiple brand names under the same umbrella such as Persil in the UK, Skip in France and OMO in Brazil, China, Turkey and Vietnam) is the largest brand in Homecare with a reach of 1.6 billion people per year (even more than Instagram!). One of our most successful launches ever has been the recent launch of Wonder Wash, which is already live in 20 markets and has already delivered turnover of over €100m in just one year. The Wonder Wash launch has harnessed the short cycle opportunity and has brought new audiences into the brand with a highly desirable mix and unmissable launch activity.

It is an exciting time to join the team and play a key role in crafting products that will future proof our brand according to the ever-changing consumer needs – driving towards our ambitious growth plans to hit €5bn by 2030.

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidate a number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.
