Nemours is seeking a Practice Lead (Primary Care – Sebastian), FULL-TIME, to join our Primary Care team in Sebastian, Florida.
While performing their normal duties (i.e. MA or PSS), provide on-site, day-to-day practice leadership, under the direction of the Practice Manager or Office Manager, and in collaboration with the practice providers to a single practice, to ensure a uniquely satisfying patient experience, a positive team environment, and financially successful practice. The position is responsible for the following:
- Assists in the interview process, orientation, direction, and evaluation of all clerical and clinical staff, in conjunction with the manager. This includes providing input on the development of clerical and clinical performance goals, in coordination with the manager. Provide updates to the manager and providers regarding goal achievement and staff performance.
- Ensure a uniquely satisfying patient experience. Monitor patient flow on a daily basis, conduct patient rounds, track and share patient satisfaction results with associates. Recommend and implement changes as needed to reach goals and monitor for continued success, in collaboration with manager. Represent and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in customer service.
- Coordinate and maintain staff and provider schedules. Monitor accruals, overtime, and scheduled/unscheduled time off for the preparation and submission of staff and physician payroll in Kronos. Ensure appropriate staffing levels through coordination with associates and managers.
- Ensure a satisfying work experience for associates through application and role modeling of Nemours Standards of Behavior. Provide positive reinforcement or coaching as needed. Activate disciplinary process through manager as warranted.
- Serve as liaison for providers and associates to ensure appropriate communication.
- In conjunction with manager, monitor and approve all standard medical and non-medical supply purchases to stay within the monthly operational budget.
- Monitor all front desk functions and fill-in at front desk, as needed. Seek input and guidance from manager as needed. Maintain hands-on knowledge of registration, charge positing, daily cash reconciliation and bank deposits
- Maintain a safe and attractive Practice environment. Overseeing facility for housekeeping, fire safety, equipment etc.
- Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.
- Travel to other locations as needed.
Job Requirements
- High school Diploma; specialized (1 year of training beyond high school) required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience required.
