Activity Assistant - Memory Care Unit (Part-Time)

Join our dedicated team at Grand Villa as an Activity Assistant in our Memory Care Unit, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. We are seeking two part-time professionals to help engage seniors through recreational therapy, fostering a vibrant and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities

- Support residents in participating in daily activities, promoting social interaction and mental stimulation

- Assist with the setup and cleanup of activity spaces and materials

- Observe and document residents' participation and responses to activities

- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities align with individual care plans and needs

- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all residents

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field preferred

- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the needs of seniors, especially those with memory impairments

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons/evenings from 4 PM to 8 PM, or Tuesday through Thursday shifts

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in activity planning or senior care are a plus
