The key purpose of this position is to ensure the stability and integrity of our on-premise network and our Azure environment to maximize the uptime/availability of applications and systems. This includes voice, data, video, and wireless network services.
What you will do…
- Responsible for managing all aspects of the physical and logical network infrastructure.
- Configure and maintain network(s) to ensure reliable operation and maximum availability.
- Configure and maintain network equipment such as: firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Ensuring network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliances.
- Monitoring and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
- Participate in managing all network security solutions.
- Setup, configure, and maintain Azure Virtual WAN environment as needed.
- Performing router/switch security audits, and system backups and recovery
- Project management for implementing new network related technology/hardware
- Designing and deploying LANs, WANs, and wireless networks.
- Oversee new and existing network equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and plans for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
- Working with Vendors and providers to plan, design, Implement and support PEFCU Wide Area Network Topology.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of PEFCU’s telephone system to include VOIP (Voice over IP) and Analog Voice lines. This includes Designing, implementing and maintaining VOIP phone system to include phone servers, phones and other components.
- Conducting research on VOIP products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the VOIP industry.
- Overseeing new and existing VOIP equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures, and for VOIP administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
- Responsible for assisting the Security team with maintaining security, and rights of LAN and WAN in order to maintain a highly secure infrastructure, protecting sensitive corporate data from internal and external threats.
- Participating in design, review and ongoing assessment of firewall, intrusion detection/intrusion prevention, SIEM, VPN, SSL, application control, and other network component policies.
- Ensuring network security best practices are implemented through auditing: router, switch, firewall configurations, change control, and monitoring.
- Formulating systems and methodologies as well as respond to security related events and assist in remediation efforts
- Managing, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting premise SDWAN devices, Load Balancers, Routers, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN connections in order to maintain security standards of organization.
- Ensuring that proper decisions are made concerning levels of concern for confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data, and the protection level for confidentiality for the network systems.
- Responsible for providing support to IT Staff as it pertains to VOIP/Data network. This includes supporting Help Desk Staff in activities associated with the identification and resolution of network/phone system problems
- Assist in applicable phases of ATM installations including planning, testing and service delivery
- Collaborating with department to assess near- and long-term network capacity needs.
- Support other areas within the IT department as needed/required
- Responsible for creating detailed documentation of enterprise network configurations and manage moves/adds/changes. This includes collecting, managing and documenting existing and new physical network diagrams and schemas using Visio.
- Asset Inventory Management of network devices.
- Developing and maintaining security support documentation for network system.
- Reviewing and maintaining network audit data.
- Working with Vendor Partner ensuring all maintenance contracts are current as it relates to network/VOIP equipment.
What you need…
- 7+ years of Network/Design experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of network hardware such as firewalls, routers, and switches and network protocols
- Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel to any of our branches up to 3-5 days per month if needed.
