The Lead is responsible for overseeing the Transport Command Center. Assigns requests to Transporters and reviews accuracy of work completed.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ECoordinates Patient Transporters daily schedule along with breaks and lunches in a timely manner.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EIn coordination with the Patient Transport Training Supervisor, ensures Transporters are fully trained and is responsible for specific training duties. Works closely with Operations Supervisor to ensure all business operations needs are met.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EIdentifies and resolves problems with transport flow in a timely manner, displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, uses discretion or seeks advice from Manager or Operations Supervisor.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ERecognizes emergency situations, records unusual conditions, and initiates code procedures if needed.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EParticipates in Monthly Meetings and/or educational activities.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EEnsures that the customer departments are notified of delays, cancellations, and changes in the mode of transportation, as appropriate. Relays this information to the Transporter in a timely manner.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EKnows the locations within the hospital facility and uses safe, efficient routes to and from all locations.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EWorks with Supervisor to solve specific problems either on a one on one basis or in groups.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EDemonstrates attention to details, maintains confidentiality, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, follows policies and procedures, follows instructions, responds to leadership direction and arrives to work meetings and appointments on time.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EAbility to train new employees, providing day-to-day job assistance; teaching and coaching new transporters on Patient%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3ETransport policies and procedures, as well as Infection Control guidelines and Customer Relations skills.%3C/li%3E%3Cli%3EUses proper codes and etiquette while communicating on phones.
