Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): Assist a professor in conducting a survey in the Northfield community, analyzing data, and reporting results. Successful applicants will be responsible for assisting a professor in writing a survey, analyzing survey data, and reporting results to a community partner.
Transferable Skills: Working with a community partner, survey research, data collection, data analysis, reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities: Regular communication with supervising professor and timely completion of specific tasks. Program a survey and administer through a web-based portal. Use R to analyze survey results. Report survey results to a community partner.
Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills) St. Olaf student with experience in statistics and/or data science is required. Successful completion of a course on social science research methodology is desirable but not required.
