The Department of Neuroscience & Experimental Therapeutics (NExT) in the Naresh K. Vashisht College of Medicine at Texas A&M University seeks to fill one (1) Research Track (Non-Tenure): Research Professor position for a full-time, 11-month appointment with an anticipated start date in the fall of 2025. Applications will be accepted at the rank of Research Professor, commensurate with qualifications. The academic roles of this position will involve the following:
- Conducting research based on your funded grants
- Supervising research staff
- Maintaining research compliance protocols (IACUC, IBC) and inspections
- Submitting progress report to funders
- Work collaboratively with the Neuro-gut-immune axis consortium to enhance research in this area
- Engage with faculty and graduate students in the NExT department through collaborative projects.

Ph.D. in Neurobiology or equivalent professional degree
Expertise in circadian biology and chronic circadian dysfunction
15+ years of experience in translational research focusing on aging and dementia
