An IT Enterprise Monitoring Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of our technology monitoring solutions that monitor and provide visibility into the health of Cenlar’s Critical Business Systems and IT infrastructure. This involves monitoring industry trends and vetting potential solutions, defining the product vision for the monitoring tools we have in place, prioritizing features in a backlog, gathering requirements from stakeholders (e.g., IT teams, business units), and implementation of those requirements. The goal of this role is to ensure the monitoring product aligns with business objectives, provides actionable insights, and delivers high value to users.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy & Vision
Owns the vision for the enterprise monitoring process and solutions and for translating the vision and strategies into tangible objectives including a strategic roadmap to ensure success. - Backlog Management:
Creates, manages, and refines the product backlog process, which includes prioritizing features and functionalities for the development team.
Stakeholder Management:
Serves as the voice of the customer and other stakeholders, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed by the development team. - Requirement Gathering:
Works with users and business stakeholders to gather their business requirements and gain an understanding of user processes and feedback. - Value Maximization:
Continuously works to maximize the value of the product by aligning its development with key business goals, objectives, and user needs. - Decision Making & Prioritization:
Facilitates decision-making and makes tough prioritization decisions when necessary to ensure the highest value is realized. - Collaboration with Development Teams:
Acts as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, and provides clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
As needed, provides guidance to GPS resources for product feature enhancements - Release Management:
Collaborates with release management to ensure the successful timing, marketing, training, and support of all assigned product releases.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, including but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar’s reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience required
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in product ownership or VDI management supporting end users in a large, complex networked environment
- Strong understanding of Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and Windows Terminal Services
- Proven working knowledge of desktop/notebook computers, operating systems, and end-user applications
- Proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and deliver complex technical solutions
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Hands-on experience using a ticket tracking system
- Must have ability to provide remote support via VPN as needed · Must maintain availability for urgent communications outside of standard business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, via phone, text, or Teams Chat to support emergency service needs
- Technical Acumen: A strong understanding of enterprise monitoring systems and technologies.
- Business Domain Knowledge: A deep understanding of the business services and how monitoring solutions can drive value.
