The Role

If so, come join the Institutional Segment & Solutions Marketing team where our mission is to champion Fidelity Institutional products and solutions and drive business results.

As a Director of Segment Marketing, you are an integral part of the Intermediary Segment marketing team and will have four key areas of responsibility – strategic alignment, relationship building, business expertise, and program execution.

You’ll be working closely with a cross-functional marketing team and contribute directly to a wide range of projects that may include digital marketing campaigns, industry conferences and events, social media, client communications and platform and product promotional efforts. This is a fast-paced, dynamic role with opportunities to collaborate across many parts of the Fidelity Institutional and Fidelity Asset Management organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for business leaders and stakeholders that advocates for and represents marketing into the business

  • Collaborate with business and marketing leaders to set annual portfolio construction and models marketing strategy that aligns with key business and marketing initiatives and goals.

  • Engage with business leaders and your marketing team to facilitate ongoing prioritization of marketing projects; includes management of new request intake and shifting / reprioritizing negotiations with business leaders.

  • Manage, develop and deliver portfolio construction and models marketing programs.

  • Be a critical connection point with our client-facing teams, providing regular marketing updates.

  • Share trends and best practices to influence segment strategy, including industry and marketplace data.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree

  • 7+ years of marketing and communications experience, including experience working on impactful business-to-business (B2B) marketing programs (financial services strongly preferred and institutional investor market experience a plus)

  • Expertise in all aspects of marketing planning and development; program management skills to execute projects from planning through completion and measurement with exceptional attention to detail and time management

  • Proven track record of delivering communications strategies that deepen client relationships and increase engagement with prospects

  • Flexibility to adjust when priorities shift or the unexpected arises; prioritize and re-prioritize work, meet deadlines, and build strong business partner relationships

  • Ability to work cross-functionally while collaborating across many teams in a complex organization

  • Ability to proactively communicate progress updates to key stakeholders, surface potential obstacles and assist in developing creative solutions

  • Intellectual curiosity to continue to stay informed on newest trends within financial services and marketing

  • Active listening skills to gather differing perspectives, and a consultative approach to demonstrate understanding and influence outcomes

  • Quick and clear headed under pressure; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including comfort influencing and presenting to senior management


The Team

The Segment & Solutions Marketing team is directly aligned with key business segments (in this case the Intermediary segment). This team develops and delivers relevant, differentiated and client centric B2B marketing programs that propel Fidelity Institutional strategic product and solution focus areas by driving prospect engagement and client adoption.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000-211,000 USD per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
