Pay Range
$16.00 - $24.00Major Responsibilities:
Clearly understands the overall Supply & Distribution operation and daily expectation or requirements as a department to fulfill the customer (patient care givers) needs and provides the necessary intervention to achieve the required expectation.
Reviews the daily work/task schedule for individual assignment and fulfills the expectations with little to no supervision required as the result of customer complaints or concerns
Inventories and enters data into the hand-held for RSLs then downloads such data into EHS for inventory updates and printing of the pick tickets.
Picks daily products from pick tickets and RSLs and downloads tickets by the appropriate quantity and unit of measure then loads such product on a cart for distribution or delivers to a RSL and performs the restocking of requested items. Returns all shipping containers or packaging for proper disposal and reports any discrepancies with the Team Leader.
Assume responsibility for an assigned area of location within the warehouse and meets or exceeds the daily inspection process by the supervisor for appearance, orderliness, cleanliness, etc.
Reports immediately to the Team Leader any or all situations that may affect the Supply & Distribution Department in achieving effective and efficient flow of operations in regards to supplies and equipment that is used for patient care.
Responsible for accurately pulling inventory items from the Distribution Center. Some inventory items are stored in high locations and the forklift, picker or 12 ft. ladder may be required. Responsible for timely delivery, pickup, and transfer of patient care supplies used in all patient care areas.
Responsible for communicating with the Nursing Directors or designee any and all information regarding additions, deletions, and/or changes to their RSL and getting the information to the Supply & Distribution Team Leader.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Lift Truck (forklift) Safety Course Preferred and/or required to successfully complete within initial six month probationary period.
Education Required:
High School diploma or GED. Ability to pass a written exam for basic communicating, writing, arithmetic and general problem solving skills.
Experience Required:
A minimum of one (1) year in a position providing customer service. Prefer a candidate with a minimum of (1) year of warehouse and distribution background and general awareness of infection control principles.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Must have good customer service skills. Must demonstrate very good judgment and communication skills on daily operational issues to ensure customer service and patient care needs are met. Must be willing and able to assume daily outcome accountability for the scheduled assignment in order to meet patient care/safety and infection control guidelines. Must be able to work flexible schedules to accommodate seven days a week including holidays. Must be computer literate to utilize EHS in order to meet the requirement of our customers/patient care providers.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity. Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport supplies, patients/residents, or equipment using good body mechanics. Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 60-80 pounds, specific to the job class evaluation. Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and change from one position to the other rapidly. Must be able to lift 25-60 lbs. and carry 25-50 pounds specific to job class evaluation. Must be able to tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres and noxious odors. Must be able to work in noisy environments and be self directed to complete jobs as ordered. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously. Must be able to assist co-workers in multiple overlapping tasks simultaneously. Must be able to prioritize job tasks and organize work space to be efficient and conducive to completing work tasks as assigned in a timely manner. If job class is identified as falling under POPE C, the individual must pass the cardiac recovery test.
