Work schedule: Monday - Friday Day shift

Essential Functions
 Participate in safe and effective research duties, under supervision commensurate with the level of advancement and
responsibility as determined by the Principal Investigator.
 Perform data analysis and interpretation, manuscript preparation, grant submission and presentation of work in departmental
seminars and national meetings.
 Exercises considerable imagination, initiative, and inventiveness in planning and executing the details of experiments, and in
evaluating and interpreting the results.
 Assists with the development and revision of techniques.
 Assembles and operates laboratory apparatus and equipment.
 Collaborates or assists supervisor and senior research staff with preparation of reports and grant requests.
 Complete educational and scholarly activities of the program and, as required, assume responsibility for teaching and
supervising other technicians and students, when deemed competent to do so by the Principal Investigators.
 Able to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other
federal, state and local standards. Able to maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
Other Related Functions
 Ability to communicate effectively with scientists, research staff, medical staff, patients, guests and all members of the
healthcare team, in a professional manner is required.
 Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Education/Training
Doctorate degree in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, or other field of science as appropriate for
specific research.
