💰 Position: Business Development Associate – EventEQ | Pay Range: $60,146 – $72,465/year + sales-based commission

We’re searching for a driven Business Development Associate who is passionate about prospecting, networking, and uncovering new opportunities. In this role, you’ll expand EventEQ’s footprint in the local market by building relationships, identifying leads, and helping convert opportunities into revenue.
🧠 What You’ll Be Doing
As a Business Development Associate, you’ll be focused on growing the business, strengthening partnerships, and creating new pathways for EventEQ to win work.
✅ Prospecting & Research – Identify, research, and develop new business opportunities
✅ Market Presence – Strengthen EventEQ’s visibility through outreach, networking, and association involvement
✅ Client Relationship Building – Initiate, grow, and maintain client relationships while supporting long-term partnerships
✅ Collaboration – Work alongside Account Executives and Account Reps throughout the client engagement lifecycle
✅ Industry Awareness – Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and client needs to guide strategy
✅ Growth Planning – Track opportunities, pursue leads through closure, and support revenue targets
✅ Market Intelligence Sharing – Provide timely insights on competitors, customers, and opportunities
✅ Additional Duties – Represent EventEQ and support business development efforts as needed
🛠️ Skills and Competencies
Strong business acumen and decision-making abilities
Clear, confident communicator and active listener
Motivated self-starter with initiative and a hunter mentality
Ability to articulate technical solutions in a way clients understand
Skilled at uncovering opportunities through research, cold outreach, and networking
📌 Qualifications
1–3 years business development experience
1–3 years experience in AV, events, hospitality, or related industry
Understanding of the sales cycle and lead-generation strategies
⚡ Physical Demands & Working Conditions
This role involves both office work and on-site client/venue interaction:
Office, warehouse, and event venue environments
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Travel up to 50%
