Kish Bank is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to assist in maintaining an accurate accounting system that reflects the company’s financial position while ensuring compliance with FASB requirements and government regulations. This role plays a key part in regulatory reporting, risk-based capital reporting, and general ledger reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high service standards and responsiveness to client needs
- Assist with financial statements, regulatory reports, and Risk-Based Capital Reports
- Perform daily/monthly reconciliations and maintain accounting records (ASC 310-20, lease accounting, subordinated debentures)
- Coordinate commission payments, support audit requests, and assist with monthly close
- Handle accounts payable for Bancorp and provide backup for Bank tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (minimum requirement).
- Two years of accounting experience (financial services or banking experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and current accounting standards.
- Experience with regulatory reporting is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute innovative ideas.
