Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation is a portfolio within McMaster Children’s Hospital. It is comprised of many different programs providing outpatient services to children (and some adults) with developmental, emotional or  behavioural, physical or communication needs. The Technology Access Clinic (TAC) assesses the needs and abilities of clients from preschool to geriatrics with a physical diagnosis in order to implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solutions to enhance or replace spoken and/or written communication.


1. Communication Disorders Assistant Diploma
2. Pediatric experience preferred
3. Experience working with augmentative communication users preferred
4. Extensive computer skills including use of Board Maker Application
5. Experience working in a team environment
6. Demonstrated ability to multi-task
7. Demonstrated ability to be energetic, flexible, adaptable, organized and reliable
8. Access to a car and willingness to drive
9. Willingness to participate in a criminal reference screening process
10. Fluency in French will be considered an asset
11. Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
