Our priority lies in shaping a business that mirrors the diverse communities we reach, truly making Post Office 'Everybody's Business'. As an equal opportunity employer, we value and celebrate the differences among our people, ensuring that our practices reflect our dedication to inclusivity and equal representation for all.
What you’ll need to succeed
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale digital transformation programmes, aligning strategy, design, technology, and business change to deliver measurable outcomes.
• Develop and manage transformation roadmaps, ensuring clear prioritization, dependencies, and value delivery across multiple workstreams.
• Partner with executive sponsors and senior stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into actionable digital initiatives and measurable KPIs.
• Drive business requirements gathering, service design, and operating model definition to ensure digital solutions meet both user and business needs.
• Oversee cross-functional teams — including Product, UX, Engineering, Data, and Change — ensuring cohesion between design, development, and delivery.
• Establish and maintain robust programme governance, risk management, and reporting frameworks to ensure transparency and control.
• Lead the introduction and embedding of new digital platforms, tools, and processes, ensuring adoption and measurable business benefit.
• Manage budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation, ensuring programmes deliver on time, on scope, and within financial parameters.
• Champion user-centred design and agile delivery practices, promoting iterative development and data-driven decision-making.
• Coordinate with Technology and Operations to ensure seamless integration of new systems into legacy environments.
• Drive cultural and organizational change, coaching teams and leaders through digital maturity, mindset shifts, and new ways of working.
• Measure and report programme success metrics, including customer experience improvements, operational efficiencies, and ROI.
About us
Post Office is a community staple. We’re trusted. We’re relatable. We’re reliable. We’re steeped in tradition. But we’re on a journey of transformation. We’re focused on the future and working at pace to compete in a digital world to provide the same, personalised experience we’ve always been proud of – and we need fresh talent to help make it possible.
We’re looking for people to come to Post office to re-imagine. Authentic people who rise to big challenges and make big changes. We all have a genuine duty of care for the people we serve – a purpose that guides us forward, no matter what.
